On Friday, September 23, 2016, I had the opportunity to share my passion for dance at The Wexner Center for the Arts Fall Student Party. In Gallery D, Bita, a fellow graduate student in my cohort, and I shared the stage with our individual dance styles and killed it! I taught an Afro Aesthetic class, and Bita performed work-in-progress.

In this class, I started by introducing myself, and my background in dance. I informed the audience that this would be interactive dance session and they are more than welcome to join me on the stage. The audience was very hesitant but as the night went on more people showed up and participated. It was such a huge success the students didn’t want to stop dancing or leave the party. I am very grateful for the opportunity to share my passion with the students of The Ohio State University.
Special Shout-Out to Iman and Marshawn (first Year at The Ohio State University Dance Department) for being my assistant. Also Thank You to The Wexner Center for the Arts, Dancers in Grad School (DiGs), and the students for allowing me to share my passion for dance!
